A thorough analysis using electronic equipment is often used no doubt to locate ignition systems in 2012.  However , a simple visual check can often locate problem areas before they cause trouble. You may prevent a visit to your local auto dealership service center, or trusted garage and mechanic  and in many cases reduce the time your time your auto is off the road for service – and on top of that reduce time and shop charges on the bottom line of the auto service invoice.

First use a simple flashlight to conduct a simple visual inspection to see if any ignition parts and components have apparent damage or wear.  You can spot cracks in wiring and insulation covers, check visually for cracking, also check insulation covers at the spark plugs.  Sometimes these develop wear spots or don’t fit snugly over the spark plug connections .  Ignition wires can also develop cracks or other faults in the insulation as stated above.   If any of these parts or components are found to have an obvious fault , or it is suspected – for reasons of reliability of your transport , and also gas mileage its best to replace these items pronto.

Its as simple as that.  Anything else is false economy.  Waiting by the side of the road for your local CAA motor league tow truck , risking safety as well to yourself , family and passengers in a cold Winnipeg winter is no fun and no bargain in the mix what so ever.
